Mount Thor

Location: Nunavut, Canada
Coordinates: 66.533 N 65.316 W

Located on Baffin Island, this granite mountain is the greatest vertical drop on Earth. This makes it quite popular with rock climbers despite being on a remote area of one of the most remote island in Canada.

Giza Necropolis

Location: Giza, Egypt

The Great Pyramids are the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World. Built more than 4,500 thousand years ago, the pyramids were architected to precise geometry of the era. The four edges of each pyramid were oriented almost perfectly along north-south and east-west lines.

Lake Baikal

Lake Baikal is the deepest lake in the world. Located in the remote frontier of Siberia, it is one of the most ancient yet clearest freshwater body in the world.

Strait Of Magellan

Location: XII Region of Magellan and Chilean Antarctica, Chile
Coordinates: 53.389 S 70.727 W

Located at the southern tip of the South America continent, this strait was named after the explorer Ferdinand Magellan, who used this waterway during his Spanish expedition to circumnavigate the world in 1520. Although the expedition was successful, Magellan did not live to complete the journey.
